How is the Area Agency on Aging Operated?

Located within the Coastal Bend Council of Governments (CBCOG), the AAA is part of a state-planning network, with professional staff housed at the CBCOG offices at 2910 Leopard, Corpus Christi, TX 78469.

Funding is provided through the Texas Department on Aging, The CBCOG, local governments, participant contributions, and corporate and foundation grants.

Policy recommendations to the CBCOG governing board are developed and reviewed by the AAA Advisory Council on Aging, a volunteer group comprised of individuals and persons from organizations providing services to seniors. Through a review and comment process, this advisory group helps to determine how to best operate the aging programs to meet the needs of the seniors.
